AniMeals Pet Food Assistance Program

The AniMeals program is a branch of the SPCA of Wake County’s Pet Food Pantry.  Now pet food assistance can be offered to Harnett County residents through HAWC.  This is a needs-based community outreach program that removes the logistical and financial burden of providing a nutritious meal for beloved family pets.

Through the AniMeals program, a month’s supply of pet food will be delivered once a month to applicants homes that have applied and been approved for the program.

To be eligible for the AniMeals program, participants must be facing financial strain and/or have physical limitations which makes it difficult to leave home, and have no one else to turn to.  The goal of AniMeals is to help families keep their companion animals.

In order to make both the AniMeals program a success, the SPCA of Wake County depends on generous donations of dog and cat food, as well as litter.  This program also depends on dedicated volunteers who pick-up and deliver pet food to the AniMeals participants.
